  • LELAND H. CHAIT helps his clients solve their problems. His roots are in successfully trying business disputes in state and federal courts around the United States. Lee has represented both businesses and individuals with complex commercial disputes in the employment, insurance, regulatory compliance and health care fields. He has also successfully litigated disputes alleging consumer fraud, regulatory compliance problems, antitrust, consumer protection and unfair trade practices violations, violations of the Racketeer and Corrupt Organizations Act, common law fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty. Lee has extensive experience defending class action cases. Lee has extensive experience defending class action cases 'and in federal bankruptcy proceedings.'

    Lee has extensive experience advising clients in the health care and life sciences industries – including healthcare providers and payers and pharmacy benefit managers – in regulatory matters and provider-payer disputes. Lee has also assisted clients with internal investigations and audits for compliance with antitrust, insurance and health care laws and regulations.

    Lee received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago.

    Lee was a speechwriter for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. Lee enjoys playing tennis, learning how to snowboard with his son and playing guitar in various venues.
